DINING

A WORLD OF FLAVOURS AT ROYAL HA LONG

DINING

One restaurant, three bars

Dining at Royal Ha Long unfolds across four spaces, each keeping its own rhythm: Phuc Vien Restaurant on the second floor for main meals, Piano Bar in the lobby for the evening, Pool Bar beside the swimming pool for the middle of the day, and La Terrasse in the grounds for the afternoon.

The kitchen works along two lines. One is live seafood from Ha Long Bay alongside Asian dishes such as Peking duck, Can Long tofu and char siu roast pork. The other is European cooking, led by steak served with mustard, pepper or cream sauce.

The drinks list runs from a pot of afternoon tea to a late cocktail, with imported wines alongside.

THROUGH THE DAY

A day, meal by meal

  1. At midday, Pool Bar beside the outdoor swimming pool serves cold drinks and Asian–European light bites, so there is no need to leave your sun lounger.

  2. On weekend afternoons, La Terrasse lays out hot tea and afternoon treats under the trees of the European-style grounds.

  3. Dinner belongs to Phuc Vien on the second floor. The kitchen runs 24/7, so a late return from the bay still finds a table and a stove alight.

  4. Later, Piano Bar in the lobby keeps the piano playing and the cocktail counter open for anyone not ready to close the day.

RESERVATIONS

Group tables and two VIP rooms

Phuc Vien sits on the second floor of the hotel, seating 250 guests, with two separate VIP rooms for meals that call for more privacy.

Because the kitchen runs 24/7, mealtimes follow your schedule rather than the restaurant’s — a late breakfast, an early lunch or a midnight supper all work.
